Spirit Rock Morgan's Grand Dame

I discovered Spirit Wind in 1997 fighting for her survival on a small crowded lot in the humidity of Sarasota Florida.  She was malnourished and stressed to the limit.    She had been bred as a two year old and only given 30 days of driving training.  When I discovered her she still at the age of 5 had a foal at her side.  Her kind and willing spirit captured my heart the very day I met her.  She was destined to be a part of the Spirit Rock Morgan herd.

Her happiness to arrive at Spirit Rock Morgans was remarkable in the way she sighed relief with her first step off the trailer.  She knew she was home and instantly began to show her appreciation with eagerness to learn and please.

Upon introduction to her new herd her initial instinct was to kick and bite even the most accepting of herd mate for her rightful place among her newly acquired family.   She needed only two lessons in the arena with myself and other horses to learn she no longer needed to be aggressive to survive.  She accepted her new role in life with amazing intelligence and grace.

Spirit Wind quickly became a very cherished riding partner as well as mother to several Spirit Rock Morgans.

With her guidance, care and confidence she has guided many novice riders and young children thru riding lessons on trails and in the arena.   She is a wonderful school master horse willing to help riders along their journey.
